A cheap car lease is one where the monthly cost is low for what you get. Cheap is relative to the car, the mileage and the length of the agreement, so here is what moves the price and where our lowest prices are.

What makes a car lease cheap?

Four things set the monthly rental on a car lease. Small changes to each one add up, so it is worth looking at them together rather than chasing the lowest headline figure.

  • The car: smaller, simpler cars cost less to lease than larger or higher-specification ones.
  • Annual mileage: a lower mileage gives a lower monthly rental, but you pay for every extra mile if you go over.
  • Term: the length of the agreement changes the monthly rental, so compare 24 and 36 months.
  • Initial rentals: paying more at the start lowers the monthly rental, and paying less raises it.

Why business leasing can cost less

Our prices are monthly rentals ex VAT. A VAT-registered business can usually reclaim 50% of the VAT on car rentals where the car has any private use, which reduces the real cost. Check the detail with your accountant.

Our lowest prices

The lowest-priced car in our range is the Ibiza Hatchback at £191 a month ex VAT, on a 24-month agreement with 5,000 miles a year and 9 initial rentals (9 monthly payments up front). With 12 initial rentals it falls to £173 a month (Ibiza Hatchback), and with 1 initial rental it is £260 a month (Ibiza Hatchback).

Cheap is relative. A low price usually means a smaller car, a lower mileage and a larger payment at the start, so make sure the deal fits how you will really use the car.
