Cheap Van Leasing Deals UK

A cheap van lease is one where the monthly cost is low for the job the van has to do. The price depends on the van, the mileage, the term and the payment at the start, so here is what moves it and where our lowest prices are.

What makes a van lease cheap?

Four things set the monthly rental on a van lease. Small changes to each one add up, so it is worth looking at them together rather than chasing the lowest headline figure.

  • The van: smaller vans such as the VW Caddy Cargo cost less to lease than larger ones.
  • Annual mileage: a lower mileage gives a lower monthly rental, but every extra mile over your limit is charged.
  • Term: the length of the agreement changes the monthly rental, so compare the options.
  • Initial rentals: paying more at the start lowers the monthly rental, and paying less raises it.

The VW Caddy Cargo

The VW Caddy Cargo is the lowest-priced van in our range. The lowest is the Caddy Cargo Maxi at £225 a month ex VAT, on a 24-month agreement with 5,000 miles a year and 9 initial rentals (9 monthly payments up front). With 12 initial rentals it falls to £205 a month (Caddy Cargo Maxi), and with 1 initial rental it is £307 a month (Caddy Cargo Maxi).

A cheap van is only good value if it can carry what you need. Check the load space and payload against your work first, because a van that is too small costs more in the end. Prices come from our live rates and can change, and each deal page lets you set the term, mileage and initial rentals to see your own price.

VAT makes it cheaper for businesses

Our prices are monthly rentals ex VAT. A VAT-registered business can usually reclaim the VAT on van rentals where the van is used for business only, so the real cost is the ex VAT figure. If the van has any private use, the amount you can reclaim may be lower, so check with your accountant.

Frequently asked questions

+What is the cheapest van to lease?

In our range, the lowest-priced van is the Caddy Cargo Maxi at £225 a month ex VAT, on 24 months, 5,000 miles a year and 9 initial rentals. That is £205 with 12 initial rentals and £307 with 1. Prices change, so check the deal pages for the latest.

+How do I get a cheaper van lease?

Choose a smaller van, a lower annual mileage or more initial rentals. Compare terms too. Always look at the total cost across the agreement, not just the monthly figure, and be realistic about your mileage.

+Can I lease a van for under £200/month?

Not at current rates. The lowest van rental in our range is £205 a month ex VAT, and that needs 12 initial rentals paid up front. On 9 initial rentals the lowest is £225, and on 1 initial rental it is £307.

+Does VAT reclaim make van leasing cheaper?

For a VAT-registered business, usually yes. Our prices are ex VAT, and the VAT on the rentals can normally be reclaimed where the van is used for business only. Private use can reduce what you can reclaim, so check with your accountant.
