What makes a good van lease deal?
- The right van for the job. A cheap van that cannot carry your load is poor value.
- A realistic mileage. A low mileage keeps the monthly payment down, but excess mileage charges can wipe out the saving.
- A sensible initial rental. A bigger first payment lowers the monthly cost, so compare like with like.
- A fixed term that suits you. Longer terms often mean lower monthly payments, but you are committed for longer.

How to compare deals
When you compare offers, check four things:
- Monthly cost, and whether it is quoted ex VAT or inc VAT.
- Annual mileage included.
- Initial rental, which may be several times the monthly payment.
- Term in months.
