VW Crafter Lease Deals
The Volkswagen Crafter is a large van built for heavy-duty work. If your business regularly carries bulky or heavy loads, it is worth a close look. You can lease a Crafter from £330 a month ex VAT (24-month term, 5,000 miles a year, 12 monthly payments up front). It is part of our van leasing range.
Why choose a large van?
A large van gives you more load space and a higher weight limit than a medium van, so you make fewer trips and can carry more per journey. It can also be a better fit for specialist conversions, such as racking or tail-lifts. The trade-off is a bigger vehicle to park and drive, and a higher monthly cost.
CR30, CR35 and CR50
The Crafter is sold in three weight classes. A higher number generally means a heavier gross weight and more capacity to carry. Exact payload depends on the body length, drivetrain and specification, so check it against what you actually carry before you choose.
Lengths and drivetrains
We list the Crafter in medium wheelbase (MWB), long wheelbase (LWB) and Maxi LWB versions, with three drive layouts:
- FWD (front-wheel drive) is the usual choice for general work.
- RWD (rear-wheel drive) can suit heavier loads and conversions.
- 4Motion (four-wheel drive) helps on soft ground, building sites and rural jobs.
All the Crafters in our range are diesel.

- Tradespeople and contractors carrying materials, plant or long items.
- Businesses with conversions, such as workshops on wheels or specialist equipment.
Business benefits of leasing
- Fixed monthly cost. Large vans are expensive to buy, so spreading the cost helps cash flow.
- VAT. A VAT-registered business can usually reclaim the VAT on rentals for a van used for business purposes. Check with your accountant.
- Manufacturer warranty for much of the term.
- No disposal hassle. You hand it back at the end.
