VW Golf Lease Deals

The Volkswagen Golf is one of the best-known and best-loved cars in the UK, and a regular fixture on company car lists. You can lease a Golf from £199 a month ex VAT (24-month term, 5,000 miles a year, 12 monthly payments up front). It is part of our car leasing range.

Hatchback or estate?

• Hatchback. The standard Golf, with a good-sized boot and the lowest prices in the range.
• Estate. A longer body and a bigger load space, useful if you carry samples, equipment or luggage.

Petrol or diesel?

We list both. Petrol suits drivers who mostly cover shorter journeys. Diesel can suit those who spend a lot of time on the motorway, though diesel cars may be taxed differently as company cars. We also list a performance GTI model for those who want something sportier, at a higher monthly price.

Benefit in kind (BiK) tax

If you drive a leased car for personal use, including commuting, you will usually pay benefit in kind tax. The amount depends on the car's list price, its CO2 emissions and your income tax band. We cannot give tax advice, so please check the current rates on the HMRC website or ask your accountant before you choose.

Business benefits of leasing a Golf

• Fixed monthly cost. Simple to budget, with no resale worry.
• VAT. A VAT-registered business can usually reclaim 50% of the VAT on car rentals where there is any private use. Check with your accountant.
