Standard or SE?

We list the standard Polo and a special edition (SE) version. The special edition adds more equipment and a higher monthly price. Compare the two to see whether the extras are worth it for you.

Benefit in kind (BiK) tax

Small cars with a lower list price and lower emissions often attract less benefit in kind tax than larger ones. BiK rates are set by HMRC and depend on the car and your income tax band, so please check the current rates on the HMRC website or ask your accountant. We cannot give tax advice.

Business benefits of leasing a Polo

• Fixed monthly cost. It is easy to budget for and there is no resale risk at the end.
• VAT. A VAT-registered business can usually reclaim 50% of the VAT on car rentals where there is any private use. Check with your accountant.

Is the Polo big enough?

It depends on how you use it. It is ideal for one or two people and everyday luggage. If you regularly carry more, look at the VW Golf or the VW T-Roc.
