VW ID. Polo Lease Deals

The Volkswagen ID. Polo is a new small electric hatchback, aimed at drivers who want an affordable EV for town and everyday use. You can lease an ID. Polo from £235 a month ex VAT (24-month term, 5,000 miles a year, 12 monthly payments up front). It is part of our electric car leasing range.

Why choose the ID. Polo?

  • Built for urban driving. It is compact, easy to park and quiet, which suits busy towns and cities.
  • Low running costs. Electricity is generally cheaper per mile than petrol, especially if you charge at home or at work.
  • A new model. It is one of the newest cars in our range, so you get current technology and safety features.
  • Lower company car tax. Electric cars usually attract much less benefit in kind (BiK) tax than petrol cars, and a small, lower-priced model can help further. Rates are set by HMRC and change over time, so please check the current figures on the HMRC website or ask your accountant. We cannot give tax advice.

Standard or SE?

We list the ID. Polo Life, and an SE launch edition with extra equipment at a higher monthly price. Compare the two to see whether the extras are worth it for you.

Range and charging

A small battery means the ID. Polo is best for shorter, regular journeys rather than long motorway trips. Official range depends on the battery, and real-world range will usually be lower, particularly in winter and at motorway speeds. If you can charge at home or at your workplace, you can start most days full. Check the manufacturer's range figure before you decide whether it fits your usual routes.

Who is it for?

  • Sole traders and employees doing local visits
  • Businesses that want a low-cost EV for short trips
  • Drivers new to electric cars who want to start small

If you need more space or range, take a look at the VW ID.3 or the VW ID.4.

Business benefits of leasing

  • Fixed monthly cost. There is no battery or resale risk, because the funder takes the car back.
  • VAT. A VAT-registered business can usually reclaim 50% of the VAT on car rentals where there is any private use. Check with your accountant.
  • Warranty for much of the term.
